Level I – Lift Qi Up Pour Qi Down (Peng Qi Guan Ding Fa)

Lift Qi Up Pour Qi Down is the first level Of Zhineng Qi Gong. It is a basic method for healing illness and cultivating good health. Its characteristics are: The mind combines with qi and the mind leads qi. The practitioner leads internal qi to open out and gathers external qi inside the body with the help of opening and closing movements. This creates the connection between human qi and nature qi. This method belongs to the external stage of Zhineng Qi Gong and it is effective in gathering qi. Through its practice one can learn to send external qi to treat and heal Illness.

Level I – Three Centres Merge Standing Form (San Xin Bing Zhan Zhuang)

Three Centres Standing Form is a foundation method of Zhineng Qi Gong. It is a static practice with some dynamic aspects and its practice requires correct adjustment of the body and one’s awareness mainly in lower Tantien energy center. Benefits of this method are: it quickly mobilises inner qi to strengthen the body. It is also a foundation practice for martial arts practitioners.

Level II – Body Mind Form (Xing Shen Zhuang)

Body Mind Form is the second level of Zhineng Qi Gong and belongs to the internal stage. Practice of this method requires the mind to combine with the body, the use of movements that mobilise qi, a relaxed, expanded body and mind, even, slow and soft movements and the experience of stillness within movement.

Benefits of this method are: It stretches the tendons and bones, increases vitality and strength, makes the body healthy and beautiful, opens the energy channels and mobilises internal qi to open qi gates, points and other pathways.

Additional exercises:

Qi pulling (La Qi)

A simple and effective method to gather qi by doing small opening and closing movements with the hands. The collected qi can be used for healing purpose.(Fa Qi) It can be practiced in a standing, sitting or lying posture.

Stretching Qi (Chen Qi)

This method mobilises inner qi quickly and stimulates in particular energy points in relation to the heart and the lungs.

Wall Squats (Dun Qiang)

Face a wall, the tips of the feet nearly touching or touching the wall. Squat down slowly with the mind in lower Tantien. Lift up, leading by Baihui. This method helps to relax and open the lower back. It strengthens the whole body and helps to adjust and balance one’s overall body qi.
